Do you have flexible arrival dates?

Yes – the individual listings will specify if the Owner has set a particular day to arrive.

Is there a minimum rental staying at these Haut deCagnes properties?

Owners appreciate that you might like to come for a long weekend, or take advantage of inexpensive weekday flights – each case is different. Check the specific property listing to see if the Owner has stipulated a minimum stay. Bear in mind that prices are generally calculated on a weekly basis; the daily rate may increase for stays of less than a week.

How do I book my holiday rental?

Do I need to provide a booking deposit?

Yes, in most cases you will need to send a booking deposit directly to the Owner’s account when you return the signed Terms & Conditions between yourself and the Owner; your booking will then be secure.

Do I need to provide a security deposit?

Yes, this is to cover the Owner in case of damages to the property – this will be specified in the Terms & Conditions. You will be refunded the deposit on your departure unless there are damages or expenses to cover or if costs of damages or expenses need to be established. In this case,  the Owner will return any outstanding money to you within 4 weeks of your departure. The amount of the security deposit will be stated in the listing.

How do I cancel a booking?

You can cancel a booking by calling or emailing through the Riviera BreakAway website. Booking deposits are non-refundable except if you cancel 90 days or more prior to the start of your stay. In this case, you will be refunded 100% of your deposit. For cancellations between 30-90 days before your stay, the Owner will keep a maximum of 50% of the total rental fee. In other words, you will be reimbursed up to 50% of the total rental fee depending on how much you have paid. No refund will be given for cancellations less than 30 days before arrival. All bank fees are the responsibility of the Renter.

Can I make changes to my holiday rental once it is booked?

You can make changes to your booking once you have returned the Terms & Conditions and booking deposit, if it is possible. If it isn’t, the cancellation policy will apply. If you wish to shorten your stay for any reason, no part refund is provided.

How do I get the address and keys of my rental property?

Before you arrive, you will be provided with all of the relevant information.

What time can I check in and check out of Haut deCagnes properties?

Check in time is between 4pm-8pm. It is important that you inform the Owner or their Representative of your estimated time of arrival in advance of your stay. In addition, let them know of any unexpected delays so they can to accommodate you to the best of their ability. If you wish to check in earlier than 4pm and your property is available and prepared and it is possible, Owners will be happy to accommodate you.  Late arrivals will incur a surcharge of €20 from 9.30pm to 23.00pm payable on arrival.

Check outs are between 7.30am-10am. Owners ask you to confirm a check-out time in advance of your departure so they can accommodate you to the best of their ability. Check outs before 7.30am will incur a surcharge of €20 payable before departure – earliest check-out 6am.

What happens if I need help or have a problem during my stay?

You will provide you with a phone number before your arrival should you encounter any problems.

Are pets accepted in Haut deCagnes properties?

In most cases yes, Owners welcome house trained and well behaved pet but you must clarify this when booking.

Can I smoke?

All properties listed on Riviera BreakAway are non-smoking properties. You can usually smoke on terraces or balconies but you must never throw cigarette butts into any green areas, which risk causing a fire – the land can become very dry in the summer months so you need to take care.
