Maison Andre Bonnet could not be better situated – it lies on the quiet Place Grimaldi opposite the Castle and yet close to Place du Chateau with it’s restaurants and cafes. This beautiful home is totally renovated and sleeps up to 4 people.
Divided into 3 storeys, each floor spacious and bright – Maison André Bonnet (140m2) mixes French charm with comfort and provides everything required in a principle residence.
Enter the front door from Place Grimaldi right opposite the steps to the Castle, you arrive directly in a farmhouse-style kitchen with large, impressive dining table and cosy corner with sofa, armchairs and fireplace. The kitchen itself is extremely well equipped with dishwasher, washing machine, fridge, freezer, oven, grill, stove, blender, Nespresso coffee machine and French press. To the near side of the kitchen, running along the wall is the staircase, which takes you to the next level.
This first floor opens up to a spacious room with large windows facing the medieval Castle. You will find more armchairs and sofas, one of which converts to a 160cm comfortable bed, there is also a bathroom, so this large sitting room offers great flexibility as it can easily be adapted to a second bedroom suite to accommodate a 3rd and 4th guest in the house. Guests in the top bedroom do need to pass through this open plan room if going down to the kitchen so best suited to close friends and family.

The main bedroom stands on the next level – it is again a large sunny room with comfy armchairs around the fireplace, a desk, a 160cm bed and it has its own bathroom.

This level offers access to a charming, south-west facing terrace (6 x 1,5m2) with bistro style table and outside chairs, perfect for enjoying an evening drink with bread and cheese. There is an awning to protect you from the heat of the day during the hotter month and a view, which stretches over the village to the sea and hills beyond.
This house was once owned by the writer, Andre Bonnet, who supposedly discovered the frescoes in the local chapel. Air Con can be found on all levels and the house it is available to guests over 12 years old, due to the stairs.
Only a short stroll to a good selection of restaurants and the village’s main square, which is a hive of activity during the warmer months and it is only around the corner from the Tourist Information Office and the free shuttle bus stop – the navette runs down to the town every 15 minutes.
The town below is a 10 minute walk if you don’t want to take the free bus, there you can find plenty of boulangeries, a food market, boutiques, supermarket, cafes, post office, etc., as well as a great selection of buses and trains going to most places on the Cote d’Azur.
